Location
Lac de l’Argile, is approximately 80km north-east of Ottawa (in western Quebec), on Hwy 309, past Buckingham& Notre Dame de la Salette, and 3 KM before Val-des-Bois. It is within easy commuting distance to Ottawa - one hour (in non rush-hour traffic). Lac de l’Argile is, by far, the largest lake in the area, and while motor boats are permitted, it is also one of the quietest. Only about 40% of the shoreline is developed and the lake is now “closed”. The serenity and quietness, even on summer week-days, makes it very difficult to believe that you’re really here in prime season.


Lakeside(1)(2)&(3)Location/Situation Clarification
  • LakeSide(1) - "ground (walk-out) level" suite of big grey cottage facing lake; (below LS(3))
  • LakeSide(2) - smaller, cozy, "typical Canadian cottage" located privately next door on a neighbouring 1 acre lot; and
  • LakeSide(3) - middle & upper levels LS(1) in big grey cottage

Important:For privacy reasons, both LS(1)&(3) will never be rented at the same time to 2 different client situations. In other words, either the 2 upper levels will be rented, or the ground level suite will be rented, not both together (unless by the same client).

Note: We (owner couple) who normally reside/work abroad, do periodically, and on holidays, spend some quiet and relaxing times upstairs in LS(3) when LS(1) is rented. When there, we do not entertain, do not make noise, and never use the front lawns, the dock, or any of the upper front lakeside balconies. Your stay at LS(1) will be as private (and quiet) as LS(2) is on it's own 1 acre property next door. Really, we are pretty invisible; you will hardly ever, if ever, see or hear us. IF you do, it will be in the back yard only. And, when there we try to be "away" as much as possible. Your privacy and your enjoyment of LakeSide(1) is our #1 priority.

Guarantee: We guarantee your satisfaction regarding issues of privacy and quietness, (within our control of course) and that our facilities and ammenities meet and surpass what is advertised. No disappointments. Our guests highest expectations are (almost) always greatly exceeded (99%). If what we promise and/or advertise is not true, we will make mutually agreeable and reasonable ammends. Approximately 50% of our clients each year are repeat visitors and that speaks volumes!!
