Testimonials
Read what some previous visitors have to say about LakeSide!
"We had the best time here. The privacy, the peacefulness, the lake,
the stars. Two weeks next year please."
Lee & Sandie.
"We once again had a wonderful time!!! It is so beautiful and peaceful
here. The only problem is that time seems to pass very quickly here. I wish it could
last forever! We still haven’t caught the “big one” in the lake – so I guess we’ll have
to come back and try again next year! Thanks again." Bev & Russel.
"What a wonderful & peaceful spot where we could just relax, sleep in
and get caught up on our reading. Really enjoyed all the critters: the hummingbirds,
the two chipmunks (the nervy one and the cardey-cat) all the birds. The piece de
resistance – the two deer that went swimming by the dock. Given the cool temperatures,
had a great time building fires in the woodstove & roasting marshmallows. We hope to
come back some time."

We're glad you decided to invite others to share in the beauty of Lakeside 2.
The cottage is well equipped and exceptionally clean. Your thoughtfulness &
care show in the many "small touches". We especially enjoyed the rocks and the stars.
It was a pleasure to meet you, and we hope to return to Lakeside.

A "Rainbow"
As the days past by,
We started to wonder,
How much beauty and grandeur,
Can give your dear Mother Nature.
From a group of chipmunks,
To a discreet raccoon,
We offered some peanuts
Gobbled up so soon.
And then came a rainbow,
While dining on the patio,
I said, "Maudit, qu"se beau!!"
Vite, prenons une photo!

YAY for the Animals
The hummingbird who did it's version of Swanlake, dipping & diving,
Then did it's balancing act on top of the flagpole!
The heron, so still on the lake, at first we thought John & Monique
had heron statues across the lake & everywhere... then it took flight right in front
of the canoe.
The fat groundhog, shuffling his way along the ledge.
The deer staring at us and refusing to let us pass on his road (never saw an Accord
before!?!)
The loon, who came in for dock-side dining and who sang us to sleep on many a night.
And of course scratchy the squirrel & choppy the chipmunk, who practically sat on us,
asking for peanuts. Who could resist?
Thank you to John & to Monique and all their friends.
Sandy & Janet
What a great atmosphere,
We came stressed out by the day-to-day life in Ottawa; we re leaving relaxed and
refreshed. Loved the view and the gardens. You did a great job.

Do not change a thing! A week of pure R & R- exactly what we were looking for...
Thank you very much!
