Dining/Living Room
Open concept
Very spacious with 2 very large windows and patio door almost side-by-side panoramically overlooking garden and lake. 3-seater futon, fireplace, 3 piece imported African fabric couch set. Beautiful western cedar features including full ceiling. Decorated with African masks, grass mats on heated stone floors, baskets, an unbelievable stone statue, etc., to take you even further away from home and everyday routine.

Master Bedroom
African Music Room
Master Bedroom boasts a quality queen-sized bed (and all bedding) complimented by a large window overlooking the lake. The comfort of the bed-set, the sound of waves lapping on the shore, and the imaginary enchanting music from the displayed musical instruments, will surely provide restful nights!

Guest Bedroom
Quality double bed (and all bedding) also makes this room perfect for resting/reading/sleeping. Identical large window facing the lake. For the time being, the theme of this room surrounds German (Black Forest) wood carvings.

Bathroom
4-piece with quality modern fixtures including neo-angle shower and a touch-pad controlled therapeutic bathtub. Quality mats, towels, face cloths, toilet paper, kleenex, soap, shampoo, etc., are provided.

Kitchen
Large, modern, fully equipped with great view of the lake. Counter sitting for 2, lots of cupboards and ample counter space for those who wish to try new recipes. Three fully loaded kitchen utensil/gadget drawers including cutlery, sharp knives and BBQ utensils. Pots/fry pans/baking sheets/dinnerware, etc. Maytag dishwasher, big refrigerator with large top freezer/ full-sized stove&oven, microwave, 10 cup drip coffee maker, toaster, kettle. Also provided are tea&hand towels/dish cloths, coffee filters, all soaps & misc cleansers.

Heating
You will never get cold. Thermostatically controlled baseboard heaters in every room. Heated stone floors in the living/dining/bedrooms and hallway. In the event of a power failure, there remains a beautiful & very heat efficient thermostatically controlled propane fireplace.

Cooling
Air conditioning is unnecessary as LakeSide(1) is on the ground level, coupled by cool breezes off the lake. There are ceiling fans in the living/dining room, and in both bedrooms.

Telephone
Not long distance to Ottawa. Plse use personal calling cards for long distance calls. Internet friendly for laptop users.

Drinking Water
All indoor water is either from a 350ft deep well, or the lake, or blended from both. It passes through elaborate sediment and charcoal filtering systems, a softener, after which it is purified via ultraviolet light. It is tested safe to drink and, in our opinion, it tastes just fine. This system can be seen in the laundry room.

Laundry
Quality Maytag Neptune washer & dryer, laundry tubs, iron and board. Soaps, softeners, stain removers, etc. provided. Consider heading back home with your laundry finished!

Breakfast on the Dock
Private 8’ X 16’ dock with an excellent quality heavy duty swim ladder.

Terraces
Front reading/lounging area is 72’ X 8’ (24m X 2.7m). Ample adirondack and cushioned lounge chairs, side tables, etc. provided. Connecting side terrace is 12’ X 12’ (4m X 4m) with BBQ (propane provided) dining table and chairs. So not to be forced indoors, both terraces are overhead covered providing shelter from the rain and summer sun.

Outside Shower
An outside, hotwater shower (inspired from an overseas tropical hotel) is located near the NW corner of the cottage. Recognizable by it's brass porthole; it is large (enough for 2), modern, clean and eco friendly.

Buckingham Hospital
Hospital is 37 KM away with medical emergency facilities. Small health clinic in Val-des-Bois. Telephone “911” for any emergency.

Security
The cottage contains a monitored alarm and sturdy roll shutters, the ultimate privacy, and darkness (for sleeping in).

Parking
There is ample good parking very close.
